We’re Hiring – Sponsorship/Grants Coordinator

HOPE Helps, a local non-profit with a mission to prevent homelessness and keep families in their homes, is looking for a talented individual who is compassionate, resourceful, and organized to join our team.  The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, committed to the organization’s mission and values, while consistently functioning as a highly dedicated team player, as well as an effective fundraiser for the organization.  This candidate is responsible for the organization’s sponsorship and grants. The candidate will also research/identify grant opportunities in accordance with annual plan and goals.  Identify, implement sponsorship opportunities and tracking for all of HOPE’s signature events. Position is full-time, Monday-Friday and occasional weekend availability for special events.  Required: Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in grants/sponsorships.

  1. Understanding of HOPE’s mission, values, vision, programs and structure.
  2. Relationship building, maintaining of existing sponsors, and responsible for securing new sponsors to meet goals for all HOPE events and programs alongside Development Manager.
  3. Connect with Marketing staff with regard to sponsorship benefits (e.g. logo, social media)
  4. Identify and secure grant opportunities:
    • Research
    • Applications
    • Maintain Grant Log
    • Reports
    • Meetings/Tours Back-up
  5. Secure grants / sponsorships to support HOPE’s programs:
    • HENS
    • Direct Service Assistance – Resource Center Financial Assistance
    • Food Pantry
    • Kids of HOPE
  6. Connect new prospects to the Development Manager or Special Events Coordinator for tours/connections/in-kind.
  7. Coordinate bi-weekly entries of donor pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations and foundations (administratively).
  8. Coordinate tier-levelled sponsorship growth strategies for all events and to meet budget goals.
  9. Write and proof content as it pertains to Development/Fundraising (as needed, includes stories of HOPE).
  10. Contribute to social media content and share HOPE content on social media accounts, as needed.
  11. Manage assigned donor portfolios.
  12. Report information to Development Manager / CEO to strategize fundraising plan in 4th quarter for following year.
  13. Tabling opportunities representation (e.g. Car Show, Taste of Oviedo) alongside Special Events Coordinator, as needed.
  14. Strategize and create sponsorship packet in 4th quarter for following year (includes coordinating high level sponsor meetings with CEO/Development Manager).
  15. Other duties, as assigned.
