The Kids of HOPE Enrichment program ensures that children who rely on school meals can stay nourished all year long, which also helps ease the financial burden on their families.
We recently spoke with “Ellie,” a mother in the program, to ask her firsthand how Kids of HOPE helps her family.
When we asked what her children like the most about the Kids of HOPE bags, she said, “They like the designs and that each bag is made with love.” The simple act of receiving a thoughtfully decorated bag brightens their day.
When we asked how the food helped her family, she shared, “It helps us have lunches that the kids regularly get during school, and for breakfast, and helps the family save money.” Through Kids of HOPE, the money Ellie saves is substantial. “With the money saved, we have been able to pay the rent or various bills like water, and lights, etc.” This is the true impact of HOPE’s programs, clients are not just provided a meal, we help them stay in their homes preventing homelessness.
