7th Annual Sham Rock ‘N Run a HUGE Success

7th Annual Sham Rock ‘N Run a HUGE Success
Thank you to all our runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers for making the 7thAnnual Sham Rock ‘N Run 5k such a success! We had over 580 people register to support HOPE and local families in crisis. Held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, it was a beautiful day for the community to come out, decked in their St. Patty’s Day best, and run or walk to the finish line. The top male runner was Rob Velasco and the top female runner was Anna Savage. We also had prizes for the top male/female runners in a variety of age categories. The Largest Team prize was awarded to Breakthrough Fitness with 35 runners, and they received a plaque and a $100 gift certificate to Rock ‘N Brews. Lucky winners of our Costume Contest received gift cards to Target and boxes of Lucky Charms! Entertainment was provided by Hendricks School of Irish Dance, and Paul Smith from the Orange County Sheriff’s Dept. played bagpipes as the runners took off and returned. More fun was had by the young children who ran in the Little Leprechaun Lap – all receiving medals of their own! It was a great turnout – with runners coming from as far away as Brazil and Canada! We hope you all will return next year (and bring a friend) to support the Sham Rock ‘N Run 5k, HOPE Helps and families in need.
