Did you know?

Did you know? HOPE is always thankful for the various donations we receive, however, there are some food items we are unable to accept. One example is food items or packages that have been opened. While most shelf-stable food items are still good a little bit past the expiration date, HOPE prefers to not accept expired food because how long things are good can vary. For example, any expired baby food/formula must be thrown out – even if it’s expired by only one day!

For any gardeners out there, HOPE is able to accept all fruits and vegetables from your backyard gardens. Some of our clients are facing serious health issues, so in addition to fresh produce, we’re always looking for healthier, low sodium and low sugar, shelf stable items.

HOPE’s Resource Center and Food Pantry also accept new, unopened toiletry items such as shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and toilet paper.

For a list of suggested food items to donate, check out our website here. If you have additional questions, call HOPE at 321-765-4984.
