Volunteer Spotlight: ServiceNow & The Cheesecake Factory

Volunteer Spotlight: ServiceNow & The Cheesecake Factory

ServiceNow Account Escalation Team

In February, ServiceNow took over HOPE’s Food Pantry and helped clients get food for their families for the week. John Donahoe, President and CEO of ServiceNow has encouraged all ServiceNow employees to spend time assisting nonprofit organizations in their own communities. With that encouragement, the ServiceNow Account Escalation team worked with HOPE’s volunteer manager, Tammy Lennox, to schedule time to volunteer.

“The ServiceNow Account Escalation team in Orlando had the honor and privilege to assist HOPE Helps in their Food Pantry on Wednesday February 13th.  We all appreciated the opportunity to further learn about the many ways HOPE Helps gives back to the residents of Seminole County.”

If your business, community group, church group, or team are interested in participating in a “Pantry Takeover Day” email volunteer@hopehelps.org for more information.

The Cheesecake Factory

Staff members from The Cheesecake Factory visited HOPE’s Food Pantry and Resource Center to volunteer all while team-building. They participated in a “Pantry Takeover Day” where they ran HOPE’s Food Pantry for the day with the help of one of HOPE’s regular, lead volunteers. They took clients through the Food Pantry to pick out their food, including proteins, breads, vegetables, and a desert.

” I have always wanted to get involved in our company’s Give Back program. I talked with Jessica Black (CCF Orlando) and she encouraged me to reach out to Tammy with HOPE Helps.  The Cheesecake Factory in Winter Park was very passionate to assist with HOPE Helps at The Food Pantry and The HOPE Chest. Spending the day helping people in need was a blessing and we can’t wait to come back and get more involved with HOPE Helps.”

–  Mary Pedersen, manager of The Cheesecake Factory in Winter Park

“The Cheesecake Factory was inspired to volunteer at HOPE Helps because we enjoy giving back to the community. We believe people just need a little help sometimes and we as a company feel for those in need and we want to do anything we can to help. We know HOPE helps does so much for those in need or for those who just need a little bit of support and we wanted to be a part of that, we thank you for letting us get a firsthand look at how much your organization helps people. That’s what we are all here for, to help each other.”
