| Thank you for easing the stress and worry of a pregnant mother. Larissa’s family was facing unfamiliar territory when her hours at work were cut due to the pandemic and then she began having pregnancy complications. Previously, she and her husband had been able to afford everything they needed without stress. When her hours were cut they were just managing their finances, but once she was ordered on bed rest the panic began to set in. How would they keep a roof over their head while keeping Larissa and her unborn baby safe? She reached out to HOPE for assistance and because of your support, we were able to immediately provide food and hygiene items to help ease their burden. Larissa applied and was approved for financial assistance so they were able to pay their rent. Fortunately, she just found out her hours at work will return to normal once she is medically cleared to return. The baby is due any day now and she is able to relax and focus on having a healthy delivery knowing they can stay in their home during this time of financial insecurity. Larissa let our Case Managers know that she has donated items to The HOPE Chest before and never imagined needing our help but is so appreciative of how we were able to help her family..
